Simon Fraser University (SFU) Summer Publishing Workshops
Are you a Canadian-owned and -controlled publisher looking to hone your skills? Are you interested in learning more about the publishing process, editing, copyediting, proofreading, design, publishing-related software programs, and a number of other related areas? If so, the SFU Summer Publishing Workshops may be for you!
The Department of Canadian Heritage, through the ACP, offers a subsidy to Canadian-owned publishers to enable them to attend the workshops. The subsidy covers 50% of economy airfare, 50% of tuition and 50% of the cost of accommodations to a maximum of $75 per night (50% or room at $150 or less per night).
The SFU Summer Publishing courses are a fantastic opportunity for publishers to gain new skills as well as to reinforce those they practice every day. Past participants have consistently given the courses, instructors and overall experience overwhelmingly positive reviews.
For more information about the ACP subsidy please contact Kate Edwards, ACP Projects Manager at 416-487-6116 x 234 or at kate_edwards@canbook.org. The SFU Subsidy Application form is available for download here. To learn more about SFU's Workshops, please visit the SFU website.
Am I eligible?
